Food & Beverage Assistant – The Samuel Hotel.
We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Food & Beverage Assistant in the Samuel Bar & Grill team, based on a casual contract.
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the restaurant’s management team, the F&B Assistant will provide a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests during breakfast and/or dinner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Restaurant Supervisors and Managers with the day-to-day operations in the restaurant.
- Set breakfast and dinner according to service standards.
- Supporting the team in achieving targets.
- Be welcoming, friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
- Up-sell and maximize sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
The ideal candidate would have/be:
- Available to start from 6am and/or to finish at 11pm, depending on the shift (breakfast and dinner).
- Available to work from Monday to Sunday.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Strong focus on high standards of customer service and attention to details.
- Previous experience using the Micros software (recommended, but not mandatory).
- Previous hotel experience in food & beverage (desired, but not essential).
- Previous experience in a high volume/ fast-paced environment.
