Job Summary
Express Employment is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead in Waterloo to oversee our Client’s daily operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and team productivity. This role requires effective communication, time management, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as necessary.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance.
- Oversee order picking processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling customer orders.
- Implement best practices for e-commerce fulfillment to optimize workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, promoting safety and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
- Stepping in where needed and solving problems on the floor
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is required, with a focus on team management.
- Strong attention to detail
- 2+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in order picking and e-commerce operations is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage time effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and proactive
Additional Info:
- The first 2 weeks will be training, working as a warehouse associate at $19/hour
- After training, pay increases to $23/hour
