We have an immediate opening for a Production Operations Associate at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to oversee flow of production hardware through shop floor activities & various departments and provide status to the cross functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Work with internal customers such as engineering, Quality, shop floor, shipping and receiving and other operations support orgs.
Aid the operations lead, as the ops focal on the floor helping to prioritize hardware and working closely with other program managers
Coordinate with shop floor technicians and supervisors to help expedite hardware through the processes to final shipping
Create daily WIP and shipping reports
Provide a Line of Balance for shippable items to program managers and value stream leaders showing estimated ship dates

Work Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

Minimum AS degree with production 4-6 years of operations/manufacturing support experience BS/BA degree with 2-4 years’ experience preferred or in lieu of degree10 years of relative experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Experience with SAP, or other MRP system, strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus
Strong oral and written communication, teamwork, self-motivation, and organizational skills required
Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Mostly Office Environments. Occasional Shop Floor involvement
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Hourly salary range: $28.00 – $33.00, DOE
