Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team for the summer. This temporary role plays an essential part in ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of inventory and shipments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and track inventory with accuracy
Pick, pack, and prepare shipment orders to meet deadlines
Coordinate and oversee shipment pickup with couriers
Ensure accurate and timely distribution of shipments
Prepare stock transfers accurately to branch offices
Receive incoming containers and follow receiving procedures
Receive, label and sort Purchase Order items upon arrival
Allocate and move pallets efficiently in the warehouse
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Handle cleanup tasks, including garbage and recycling
Prepare and organize product transfers for Sales team trips and customer visits
Ensure a consistent supply of pre-packed sinks for orders

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs
Understanding of environmental, health, and safety practices in warehouse settings
Comfortable with extended periods of standing or walking
Strong attention to detail with a focus on minimizing errors
Follows standardized processes and procedures carefully
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
Maintains high ethical standards and professionalism
Communicates well and works effectively with others
Basic computer skills (e.g. for inventory systems, shipping labels, etc.)

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Be legally entitled to work in Canada according to relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
