Job Type: Host/ Hostess (Full-time only)
After Seven is looking for a new member to join our family!
We are a busy upscale cocktail bar looking to hire a Host/Hostess with experience in a busy hospitality environment. Ideal candidates will possess the ambition to learn, a high level of customer service and problem-solving skills, be knowledgeable with OpenTable, have a great positive attitude and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to multitask effectively while under pressure. Being a team player is a must!
During our day-to-day operations, you will be…
- Welcoming guests and checking them in through OpenTable.
- Multitasking and being able to think on the spot for any customer related issues or concerns.
- Answering calls and OpenTable messages throughout the shift.
- Assisting the bar to efficiently seat guests and be part of a team delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Managing and assisting in the table set up.
- Ensure the bar is clean and organized at all times.
- Aiding in taking orders and serving.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills in person, on the phone, and through OpenTable.
- Available on weekends.
- Able to travel to the location.
- Able to work late hours at the bar, can go up to 3am.
- Able to problem solve on the spot and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Constantly on the move and assuring operations are fluid and functioning.
- Strong desire to consistently exceed customer expectations while also being able to resolve problems with creative solutions.
- Good sense of judgement in balancing customer interests with company policy.
- Strong people skills with a demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a team player.
- Self-motivated with an excellent ability to work under pressure while handling multiple tasks at the same time.
- Excellent organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Semi-professional attire, with no apparent logo/ brands on outfit.
Schedule:
- Evening shift from 5:00 pm
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Requirements:
- Must be able to use OpenTable (At least 1 year of experience)
- Must have Smart Serve
- At least 1 year of Hosting/Concierge/Customer Service experience
- Must have professional speech and a friendly attitude
- Must be able to be on the move to assist in daily operations
- Must be able to answer the phone
Language requirements:
- This position requires linguistic fluency. Priority will be given to candidates completely fluent in English.
- Additional languages are an asset!
