We are currently hiring for an experienced Industrial Mechanic for a client in the East End of Toronto, ON.
Working Hours: 6AM/7AM start Tuesday – Saturday
Requirements:
• 5 years+ experience working as an Industrial Mechanic
• Class B Refrigeration license
• Electrical, Millwright licenses are an asset but not required
• Problem solving skills
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing setting (frozen/fresh goods, beverage
Job Description:
• Reporting to the maintenance supervisor:
• Maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery
• Adhering to all safety precautions and use PPE
• installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Installs and maintaining machines and electrical equipment and carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.
Wage: $35.36/hour * this opportunity has the potential to become a permanent role after the interview process.
