Full job description
Warehouse Associate-Responsible for planning and coordination merchandise between storage and the retail floor. This involves planning, maintaining and communicating the flow of merchandise, which involves documenting, storing, locating and distributing stock within the store or warehouse.
You will be responsible for operating indoor and outdoor forklifts, moving and rearranging stock in the warehouse.
Physical job-lifting, moving, pushing and walking. Must be available for early morning shifts-week days, evenings and week ends. Experience with using power jacks and forklifts an asset.
Responsibilities:
- operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary, assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- allocate warehouse storage locations for efficiency and time of year for products. Space utilization techniques
- ensure all products are properly and safely stored on pallets for storage and transport
- enforces cleanliness and organization of warehouse
- maintain inventory of items in the warehouse, file records/adjustments as needed
- create stock control methods and procedures
- report to manager on duty for additional tasks or special projects
