In a nutshell, we’re looking for closers. We’re seeking a sales-focused retail salesperson to join our retail team. In this role, you will play a key part in guiding customers through the product selection process, helping them make informed choices while driving sales and enhancing the overall customer experience. Your passion for customer engagement, keen eye for detail, and strong sales acumen will be essential in creating a seamless and enjoyable purchasing journey for our clients.
In a nutshell, we’re looking for closers. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Warehouse Sales Associate to join our team, a leading construction outlet. In this role, you will blend sales expertise with warehouse duties, assisting customers with their construction needs while maintaining an organized and efficient inventory in the store. The ideal candidate is energetic, knowledgeable about construction materials, and thrives in a fast-paced retail warehouse environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Customer Service & Sales: Greet and assist customers in locating construction products (e.g., lumber, tools, hardware, plumbing supplies).
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs (e.g., DIY projects, contractor builds).
- Upsell and cross-sell items (e.g., suggesting screws with lumber or sealants with tiles) to meet sales targets.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle returns/exchanges.
- Warehouse Operations: Receive, unload, and stock incoming shipments of construction materials and tools.
- Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring products are properly labeled, stored, and accessible.
- Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely to move heavy items, if certified.
- Store Support: Restock shelves and displays during downtime to keep the sales floor presentable.
- Assist with preparing special orders or bulk deliveries for customers.
- Keep the warehouse and sales areas clean, safe, and compliant with company standards.
What We’re Looking For In A Successful Individual:
- Sales orientation: Previous experience in retail sales with a strong sales focus.
- Great Communication Skills: Ability to actively listen, present solutions effectively, and build rapport with customers.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think on your feet and provide creative solutions to customer needs.
- Tech-Savvy: General understanding of POS systems, CRM, etc.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and follow up effectively.
- Team Player: Works well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Initiative: A “take the opportunity and run with it” attitude and operating with a focus on urgency and objectives
