DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) to play a vital role coordinating and managing the warehouse activities on a shared user site to ensure that service standards meets customer agreed performance criteria. You will be leading a small team to deliver a safety first culture, ensuring health and safety is prioritised and performance is managed via KPIs.
- Take responsibility for managing and running a safe operation and driving a Safety First Culture with all individuals in the operation by applying and improving the Safety Standards
- Communicate objectives & KPIs applicable to your team, ensuring that service standards are achieved to meet agreed performance targets
- To be a 21st Century Manager leading and managing the nights warehouse operations, leading a small team of First Line Managers and Team Leaders.
- Act as the site responsible person for night shift, providing an escalation point for both warehouse & transport colleagues.
- Drive cost efficiencies within the warehouse operation.
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and manage non-conformances.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong leadership abilities
- Proven experience in shared user operations (desirable)
- Strong track record of promoting and ensuring Health & Safety compliance and standards
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a proactive mindset and strong focus on quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
