Job Summary:
In this role, you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive. The warehouse specialist is responsible for organization of the warehouse and the inventory as to store, stack, or palletize material in accordance with prescribed shipping and storage methods.
General Responsibilities:
× Manage and organize the warehouse, including inventory, products and packaging of materials.
× Receive and inspect incoming product, ensuring they meet quality standards
× Ensure accurate inventory accounts and document all movement of products in and out of the warehouse.
× Pack and unpack products for shipping and or storage.
× Kitting for production jobs.
× Operate power lifts, hand trucks, carts and other material handling equipment in performance of warehousing duties.
× Shipping and receiving support
× Examining of stored materials, and reporting deterioration and damage
× Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
× Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials
× Safely operate forklift to load and unload material on and off trucks
× Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
× Perform work in a manner that all products conform to prescribed quality standards.
× Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
× Other duties may be assigned by Plant Operations Manager
Qualifications:
× Minimum of 5 years inventory/shipping receiving role.
× Crane and forklift experience highly preferred.
× Attention to detail
× Ensure accurate record keeping utilizing Visual ERP system or other inventory control system.
× Must know Fed-Ex. UPS and LTL shipment processes global.
× Bar-Code/RF scanner knowledge.
× Familiarity and adherence to all safety standards including PPE.
× Meticulous management of goods.
× Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
× Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period of time
× Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
× Ability to work in fast paced, high-volume environment.
× Must have U.S. work authorization.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
× Steel-toed boots and safety equipment as assigned by the production manager.
× Forklifts, manlifts, and overhead cranes.
Working Environment:
× Works in warehouse.
× Lifts up to. 75# moderately, 20-50# frequently.
× Twists, stoops, and bends frequently.
× Climbs 20 ft/ ladders moderately.
× Walks, stands, reaches, and works at shoulder level or overhead frequently.
× Employee has some exposure to fumes, glare and radiation of arc.
