PRIMARY DUTIES:
- PRODUCT INVENTORY AND STOCKING:
- Provide information to sales staff on stock availability as requested in a timely and helpful manner.
- Fulfill orders from the secure Retail inventory stock room/cage to provide products to sales staff for invoicing to client and for warehouse product requests.
- Ensure inventory control of all products, scanning any products entering and leaving the cage and verifying contents that are moving in and out of this high security area.
- Stock the cage as product arrives – maintain an organized, orderly and secure area ongoing in the cage.
- Assist order pickers in picking products for orders. Process transfers from the cage as required and transfer to warehouse using proper dumbwaiter processes and protocols.
- CAGE HOUSEKEEPING AND SECURITY:
- Ensure cage is secured and occupied with authorized staff at all times
- Ensure the security of the cage perimeter is maintained while monitoring and controlling access to the cage by authorized staff only (Inventory Control or Managers and above).
- Ongoing timely and efficient maintenance, organization of the cage and its contents, ensuring efficient use of storage space and unloading/stocking Receiver carts on a priority basis and the dumbwaiter immediately upon arrival
- Perform inventory counts on a daily basis, scanning bin locations for accuracy of products in the cage by using the “inventory quick scan” and checking in the “Placement bin form”. Maintain this data and distribute as a weekly report to defined recipients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse and/or Retail Managers.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Able to lift and carry up 70 lbs. on a regular and ongoing basis.
- Inventory management and control experience or education
- Solid understanding of Navision or other ERP systems for sales and inventory data.
- Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships.
- Works well under pressure, able to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Stamina and energy – able to work quickly and physically for long periods of time.
- Must be a self-starter and focused on achievement.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Previous experience in warehousing within a retail environment a strong asset.
