Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. You will play a key role in the daily operations of our food service area, working collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to deliver a quality dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving, storing, and labeling food products.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for cash handling and processing customer transactions accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with their needs and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
- Perform basic math calculations for portioning food items and managing cash transactions.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and portion control.
- Ability to sanitize work areas effectively to maintain a clean environment.
- Experience in food handling within a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Willingness to help team members and contribute positively to the work environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing is a plus.
