Full job description
Overview
We are seeking a professional and efficient Stores /Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to incoming and outgoing goods using the business computer system. This position requires some physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
The working hours are 5 per day 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday only.
Duties
- Receive and dispatch goods using the business computer system.
- Checking paperwork to ensure customer orders are dispatched promptly and accurately
- Picking and provision of stock to the manufaturing team in a timely manner to ensure no delays to customers
- Undertaking stock checks where required
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organised warehouse space, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly and accessible.
- Assist in materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and preparing items for dispatch.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, experience of import and export rules is beneficial
- Proficiency in operating forklifts is preferred.
- Computer literacy is required to access and use the business systems
