Job Summary
We are looking for a Transportation and Logistics Associate. The ability to freely enter and exit the USA is required. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience driving vehicles up to 11,000 kg in gross vehicle weight.
Job Type: Permanent, Full time (9am- 5pm EST) Monday to Friday
Languages: English
Education: High-School or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Drive truck up to 11,000 Kg in gross vehicle weight to transport inventory between Canadian and USA warehouse.
- Operate forklift and other equipment for moving large heavy loads.
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units and departments
- Monitor, track, and cross-dock shipments to support logistics manager as required.
- Organise, pick, and pack shipments to support warehouse manager as required.
Skills/ Requirements:
- Valid full G driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to freely travel between Canada and the United States.
- 1-2 years relevant logics experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Strong spatial awareness, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to speak more than one language an asset.
This is NOT a remote position.
Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Markham, ON, be eligible to work in Canada, and freely travel between Canada and USA for consideration.
