Warehouse Worker
Overview:
This role is responsible for materials handling, stock control, packaging, and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods in and out of the facility. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Materials Management: Receiving, storing, and organising raw materials, ensuring accurate stock control, and keeping records up to date.
- Preparing Jobs for Despatch: Packaging and palletising completed work securely and safely for dispatch by courier.
- Quarantine Zone Management: Maintaining an organised quarantine area for work-in-progress and leftover materials until customer confirmation.
- Goods In & Goods Out: Receiving deliveries, checking paperwork, handling stock movement, packaging products, and coordinating courier bookings.
- Courier & Supplier Coordination: Organising collections and deliveries with couriers and suppliers, ensuring timely dispatch.
- Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping: Keeping walkways clear, disposing of waste, managing waste disposal services, and ensuring health & safety compliance.
- Forklift & Equipment Use: Operating forklifts and pallet trucks for material movement and assisting in moving heavy equipment when needed.
- Storage & Racking Management: Keeping warehouse storage organised, labelled, and optimised for efficiency.
Ideal Candidate:
- Practical and proactive, with experience in warehouse or logistics roles.
- Comfortable working with forklifts and warehouse equipment (training can be provided if needed).
- Able to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of handling materials safely.
